Postpartum Anxiety Therapy
When Worry Feels Endless, You Can Find Calm and Clarity
Anxiety Does Not Control You
Maybe your mind never seems to switch off the “what ifs.” You replay moments or conversations, wishing you could have done things differently. You worry about what’s coming next, feeling trapped in a cycle of thoughts that just won’t quiet down. It’s exhausting to carry all of this by yourself.
Your anxiety might even show up in your body through tight shoulders, racing heart, restless nights, leaving you drained and tense. You want to feel calm and present, but it can be hard to know where to start or how to ask for help.
If this feels familiar, please know that you deserve support, understanding, and relief.
When Postpartum Anxiety Feels Unrelenting
After giving birth, your mind may feel like it’s constantly racing and flooded with worries.
You might replay moments, question decisions, or worry about every little thing, such as your baby’s safety, whether you’re doing enough, or what might go wrong next. Even though you consider every outcome, the anxiety doesn’t ease.
You might ask yourself:
Why can’t I turn off my thoughts, even for a moment?
Am I overreacting or failing as a mom?
Will I ever feel calm again or enjoy time with my baby?
Why does my mind keep racing when I just want to rest?
Postpartum anxiety affects more than your mind. It can show up physically, leaving you tense, fatigued, restless, or with racing heart, headaches, or stomach discomfort. It can impact your daily life, such as making it hard to sleep, enjoy moments with your baby, or focus on tasks. You might find yourself avoiding social events, overthinking interactions, or feeling irritable or on edge around family and friends.
The good news is: you don’t have to live like this. With the right support, you can learn to manage racing thoughts, ease physical tension, and regain confidence in your parenting and in yourself. Postpartum anxiety does not have to win.
In a compassionate, understanding space, I’m here to help you make sense of your postpartum anxiety and regain a sense of calm. Together, we’ll explore the root causes and patterns of your worry, notice the ways your thoughts and behaviors may be contributing to stress, and gently work to challenge them. You’ll develop practical coping strategies and tools tailored to your unique needs as a new mom. I will help you feel grounded, more present, and able to respond rather than react to anxiety.
Our sessions focus on understanding your anxiety, not dismissing it. While some worry can motivate or keep you alert, constant, overwhelming stress is not sustainable. We’ll work together to distinguish helpful anxiety from harmful anxiety and find ways to respond that protect both your mental well-being and your connection with your baby. The goal is to help you feel more confident, in control, and capable as you navigate motherhood, while nurturing your own emotional health.
